Marc A. Campos
A native of San Jose, California Mr. Campos attended undergraduate school at San Jose State University, receiving a BSW in Social Work. He received his MSW in clinical mental health/social work from San Jose State University. In order to increase his ability to help serve the needs of his diverse clientele, Mr. Campos has decided to pursue a PhD in Counseling Studies and is pursuing this doctoral degree at Capella University.
His first year internship was completed in a community based HIV/AIDS agency at The Health Connections (renamed The Health Trust AIDS Services). His second year internship was with Santa Clara County Mental Health. In order to off set some of the costs of receiving his graduate education, Mr. Campos worked as a in home care provider for a developmentally disabled adult. Since receiving his MSW degree, Mr. Campos has worked in: outpatient mental health, crisis residential facility and transitional residential facility for the mentally ill, crisis facility providing crisis evaluation for mentally ill clients needing in-patient psychiatric services. Most recently, Mr. Campos worked full time in an outpatient substance abuse treatment facility coordinating residential placement and outpatient group therapy for veterans at the Veteran's Administration (2007-2010) and social work/therapy services for clients at the Western Blind Rehabilitation Services at VA Palo Health Care System.
